I often need models for my fine art projects and have different photographic offers, whether you want to model professionally or just get involved for fun and the love of creating beautiful images. For more info read below. Commissioned shoots On average the cost is R2500 for 3 costume changes. The 30 best images will be selected and enhanced in Photoshop and portrait editing software to get the best out of the images. The model can do her own make-up or supply her own MUA. On request a hair & make-up artist can be sourced. The cost will vary according to the experience of the person. Many photo agencies offer models hundreds of images on their disc. If you think it is good value for money you are mistaken. For portfolio purposes you can't use more than two images of the same outfit. What you need it is two mind-blowing images per outfit. Any further additions will only detract. You only want to put the best images forward. The huge majority of the images offered on disc by these agencies are unedited which mean they are useless to you for portfolio purposes. Even if some are supposedly been edited, your disc is given to you by the end of the shoot which mean no real time was spent on them. What I specialize in is the post-processing of images. Many hours after the shoot is spent pouring over images selecting the best ones, correcting colour, enhancing lighting and shadows to create more dramatic images, smoothing skin tone, removing skin blemishes etc. Most of the cost quoted above is for the post-processing which can easily take five times as long as the initial shoot. Email me requesting a quote. Please be clear what kind of images you need and for what purpose (test shoot, portfolio, personal use etc. as well as any special requirements.) Please note: * All models will be required to sign a model release for each photo shoot. * I am based in Cape Town. Please do not contact me if you do not live in Cape Town or are planning a trip here. * All shoots are taken on location around Cape Town or against a backdrop from home. Examples: Location Backdrop Portfolio websites for models For a shoot mentioned above and a portfolio website the cost is ±R5500. Yearly hosting and domain name fees are ±R800 depending on exchange rates. If you only want to set up a website without a shoot the cost is ±R3000 depending on the amount of content. Amateur and professional models If you want to start modeling professionally and need pictures for your composite card / z-card, I would be quite happy to take your test shoot / portfolio pictures (according to your agency requirements; usually a portrait, full length and swimsuit picture) in exchange for modeling for one of my fine art projects. I will do the photography for free and the pictures will be placed on a disc free of charge. If you are already an established model but want to pad your portfolio, we can come to a similar agreement. We can 'set up' a fashion shoot according to any ideas you might have in exchange for a shoot for one of my projects. Please note this option is contingent on whether you will be suitable for my own photographs and comfortable doing fine art photography. My decision is not based on whether I think you could be successful at modeling and should not be taken personally. If your request is not successful may want to consider the payment option above. CD for time If you're not interested in modeling professionally but would like to have some unusual art images of yourself, then please feel free to contact me as well. I'd be happy to place some of the best images of each shoot on a disc for you in exchange for your time. It doesn't matter what your shape or size is... although if you look like Monica Bellucci it would help.
