Welcome to my fashion and model portfolio site. I am mainly a fine art photographer but with interest in fashion and how fashion is influenced by art. I exhibit my work from time to time, although far less than I would like to.
I often need models for my fine art projects and have different photographic offers, whether you want to model professionally or just get involved for fun and the love of creating beautiful images. For more info read below. Amateur and professional models If you want to start modeling professionally and need pictures for your composite card / z-card, I would be quite happy to take your test shoot / portfolio pictures (according to your agency requirements; usually a portrait, full length and swimsuit picture) in exchange for modeling for one of my fine art projects. I will do the photography for free, but you will have to pay for your own prints and development of film. If shot digitally the pictures will be placed on a disc free of charge. If you are already an established model but want to pad your portfolio, we can come to a similar agreement. We can 'set up' a fashion shoot according to any ideas you might have in exchange for a shoot for one of my projects. Please note this option is contingent on whether you will be suitable for my own photographs. My decision is not based on whether I think you could be successful at modeling and should not be taken personally. If your request is not successful may want to consider one of the payment options. CD for time If you're not interested in modeling professionally but would like to have some unusual art images of yourself, then please feel free to contact me as well. I'd be happy to place some of the best images of each shoot on a disc for you in exchange for your time. It doesn't matter what your shape or size is... although if you look like Monica Bellucci it would help. Website for time If you are interested in marketing yourself online look no further. I've designed a template website which I am prepared to offer models for free in exchange for your modeling time. Its the same as a 'print for time' concept except the exchange is for a website! The website is driven by a Content Management System and you will be able to add your own photos, add pages, change details etc. The hosting is free to boot. The website will function similar to this one or this sample website. There are various template layouts to choose from. Commissioned / paid shoots Email me requesting a quote. Please be clear what kind of images you need and for what purpose (test shoot, portfolio, personal use etc. as well as any special requirements.) Please note: * All models will be required to sign a model release for each photo shoot. * I am based in Cape Town. Please do not contact me if you do not live in Cape Town or are planning a trip here. * All shoots are taken on location around Cape Town. I prefer to shoot outdoors or in interesting buildings and domestic environments, otherwise I take against a backdrop from home. |
